We’re looking forward to celebrating our marriage with you on the morning of this Friday, the 11th of September! Here’s a reminder with details about the party:

When: 8:30 a.m. – Set up, for those who want to help. 9:00 a.m. – Reception. 10:00 a.m. – Short alternative ceremony, followed by a few creative performances. If you would like to sing, dance, speak, etc., you are welcome to!

Where: Park HaYarkon, opposite 40 HaRav Kosowski (in Bavli)

How to get there: Monit Sherut 5 goes near this area; so do several buses which stop on Namir (call Dan Bus at 03-6394444 for exact directions from your location to the area)

What to bring: 1. some food or drink to share* 2. a picnic blanket or towel, if you have one; chairs are also helpful 3. cameras! Please take pictures 4. sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, etc.

*If you have not yet listed what you are bringing on our RSVP form, here are a few suggestions: cheeses, spreads, hummus, salads, fruit, drinks

מתי:
8:30 – מארגנים את המקום. מי שרוצה לבוא לעזור – מוזמן.
9:00 – “קבלת פנים”
10:00 – טקס אלטרנטיבי קצר ולאחריו מספר הופעות של חברים (אם ברצונכם לשיר, לרקוד, לדבר או כל אחר – אתם מוזמנים!)

כיצד להגיע לשם:
קווי האוטובוס של דן מגיעים לאיזור (על אף שתצטרכו ללכת מעט), חייגו ל- 03-6394444 בשביל הוראות הגעה מדוייקות.

חברים שרצו לתת ולקבל טרמפ – אנו נשלח אליכם מחר (במהלך יום חמישי) אנשים שתוכלו ליצור איתם קשר בשביל טרמפ.

מה להביא:
מתנות – אין צורך. כלומר, אתם תמיד יכולים ואנחנו נשמח לקבל. אבל הסיבה שיצרנו אירוע באופן כזה היא כדי שלא “לכפות” על חברינו לשלם צ’קים רק בשביל לכסות את המנה. המתנה הכי חשובה בשבילנו היא שתבואו לשמוח בשמחתנו ולהעניק לנו מאהבתכם.

אוכל – אם כבר כתבתם לנו מה תביאו אז תביאו זאת. אם אינכם בטוחים מה להביא אז תביאו אחד (או יותר) מהדברים הבאים: גבינות, ממרחים, סלטים (גם סלטים קנויים זה סבבה), משקאות קלים, חומוס, פירות.

מה עוד להביא – שמיכות לשבת עליהן (ואף כיסאות אם יש לכם), מצלמות (צלמו תמונות בבקשה בבקשה ואם תעלו אותן לאנשהו אז תחת מילת הטג DEBANDTAL), ומומלץ גם לבוא עם כובע ומשקפי שמש.

Typically, a wedding is something you only do once.

But Tal and I just love each other so much (and, well, have the added complications – I mean joys – of a trans-Atlantic network of family and friends) that we decided one wedding simply isn’t enough.  So we’re celebrating three times!

Here’s our plan:

1.  September 9, 2009: The Immediate Family Wedding in Israel
2.  September 11, 2009: The Potluck Picnic Wedding in Israel
3.  Date TBA, 2010: The Wedding Celebration in the U.S.

We hope you’ll be able to celebrate with us over the course of our weddings!

Being avid bloggers, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to create another blog.  For those of you who are in Israel or will be joining us here in September, we will be posting lots of information about the celebrations.

For those of you who can’t be here with us in Israel, you can keep up with our plans and take a look at lots of photographs – and hopefully video – from our Israeli weddings.  This is our way of bringing our initial celebrations to you!
